Birka Raven™ Viking Seax Knife
The Birka Raven™ Viking Seax Knife combines a historical Norse-inspired profile with a patterned Damascus steel blade, natural wood and bone handle, and traditional horizontal-carry leather sheath.
Its pre-sharpened blade is made from 256-layer Damascus steel, creating the distinctive layered pattern associated with this forged steel construction.
Measuring approximately 19.7 inches overall, with an approximately 12.6-inch blade, the Birka Raven™ has the long, distinctive profile associated with historical Viking seax designs.
The handle combines wood, animal bone, and brass fittings. Its oval cross-section provides a traditional grip profile, while a brass butt cap features a lanyard hole with an included leather lanyard.
A vegetable-tanned leather sheath completes the design with brass fittings, three brass suspension rings, and leather belt loops for Viking-style horizontal carry.

Historical Viking-Inspired Design
The design draws inspiration from a Baltic war knife/seax found in an 11th-century burial mound in Priekuli-Gugeri, Latvia.
Its elongated blade, natural handle materials, brass details, and suspension sheath create a strong Viking Age-inspired appearance.
256-Layer Damascus Blade
The 256-layer Damascus steel blade provides a prominent patterned finish across its approximately 12.6-inch length.
The edge comes pre-sharpened, while the substantial blade dimensions give this piece a much larger profile than a typical modern fixed-blade knife.
Wood, Bone & Brass Handle
The handle combines natural wood and animal bone with brass rings.
Its oval cross-section creates a traditional grip shape, while the brass butt cap includes a lanyard hole and supplied leather lanyard.
Because wood and bone are natural materials, individual pieces can show differences in grain, coloration, and pattern.
Viking-Style Horizontal Leather Sheath
The included vegetable-tanned leather sheath features brass fittings, three brass suspension rings, and leather belt loops.
The belt-loop details incorporate stylized animal-head designs inspired by archaeological finds from Björkö/Birka, Sweden.
Damascus Steel Care
The Damascus steel used for this blade is not stainless, so regular care is important.
Keep the blade clean and completely dry. Apply a thin coating of suitable blade oil periodically to help protect the steel from surface corrosion and tarnishing.
Never store the blade wet inside its leather sheath.
