Little Raven™ Small Viking Knife

The Little Raven™ Small Viking Knife is a compact historical-style utility knife combining a hand-forged carbon steel blade with a natural wood handle, brass fittings, and a traditional leather sheath.

Measuring approximately 3.9 inches overall, this miniature fixed blade features an approximately 1.5-inch carbon steel blade. The blade comes slightly sharpened and retains areas of dark oxide scale along the flats, giving it a rustic hand-forged appearance.

The simple wooden handle is finished with a brass collar and brass butt cap. An eyelet in the butt cap provides an attachment point for a lanyard and can also assist when drawing the compact knife from its sheath.

A vegetable-tanned leather sheath with decorative brass fittings and a suspension ring completes the traditional Viking-inspired design.

Compact Viking Utility Design

At approximately 3.9 inches overall, the Little Raven™ is considerably smaller than the traditional Viking Seax knives in the Arham Cutlery collection.

Its compact proportions and simple construction give it the character of a small historical utility knife.

Hand-Forged Carbon Steel Blade

The approximately 1.5-inch blade is hand-forged from carbon steel and supplied slightly sharpened.

Rather than polishing the entire blade, areas of oxide scale remain visible along the flats. This creates the intentionally rustic forged appearance of the knife.

Wood & Brass Handle

The compact handle uses natural wood combined with contrasting brass fittings.

A brass collar sits near the blade, while a matching brass butt cap finishes the handle. The butt cap also incorporates a practical eyelet for attaching a lanyard.

Natural wood can vary in grain and coloration, so individual knives may differ slightly in appearance.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather Sheath

The Little Raven™ includes a vegetable-tanned leather sheath decorated with brass mounts.

A suspension ring provides an attachment point for traditional-style belt carry while coordinating with the brass fittings on the handle.

Carbon Steel Care

The carbon steel blade is not rust-proof and requires regular maintenance.

Keep the blade clean and completely dry after handling. Periodically apply a light coating of suitable blade oil to help protect it from moisture, tarnishing, and surface corrosion.

The dark oxide and forge-scale areas are intentional parts of the blade's rustic finish. Never store the knife wet inside its leather sheath.
