Knotbone Raven™ Viking Seax Knife

The Knotbone Raven™ Viking Seax Knife combines a traditional Norse-inspired profile with a patterned Damascus steel blade and an ornate wood-and-bone handle.

Its approximately 7.9-inch blade is crafted from 256-layer Damascus steel and supplied with a sharp edge. The visible layered pattern of the steel complements the natural materials and historical styling of the knife.

Measuring approximately 13 inches overall, the Knotbone Raven™ offers a substantial Viking-style profile without reaching the size of a traditional long seax.

The handle combines natural wood and animal bone, with the lower section featuring an eye-catching carved knot pattern. Brass fittings at the collar and butt complete the traditional appearance.

A tanned leather sheath with ornate brass fittings is included. Its suspension system uses two carrying rings, a strap divider, and three leather straps for Viking-inspired belt carry.

Decorative Viking Knot Handle

One of the defining features of the Knotbone Raven™ is its detailed handle.

The grip combines natural wood with animal bone decorated with a traditional-style knot pattern, creating a distinctive appearance that separates this knife from simpler wood-and-bone Viking designs.

Brass fittings at both ends of the grip add contrast against the natural handle materials.

256-Layer Damascus Blade

The approximately 7.9-inch blade is constructed from 256-layer Damascus steel and comes with a sharp edge.

The layered construction creates naturally visible patterning across the blade, complementing the historical character of the knife.

Viking-Inspired Suspension Sheath

The included tanned leather sheath features ornate brass fittings and a more elaborate suspension arrangement than a simple belt loop.

Two carrying rings work with a strap divider and three leather straps to create a Viking-inspired suspension system.

Natural Wood & Bone

Both wood and animal bone are natural materials. Variations in grain, tone, coloration, and surface details can occur between individual knives.

These natural differences help give each piece its own appearance.

Damascus Steel Care

The Damascus steel used for this knife is not rust-proof and should receive regular maintenance.

Keep the blade clean and completely dry after handling or use. Apply a thin coating of suitable blade oil periodically to help protect the steel from moisture and surface tarnishing.

Never store the blade wet inside its leather sheath.
