Twin Raven™ Viking Long Seax Knife

The Twin Raven™ Viking Long Seax Knife combines the distinctive broken-back profile of a historical Seax with a long hand-forged carbon steel blade and an intricately decorated bone handle.

Measuring approximately 18.9 inches overall, this substantial Viking-inspired knife features an approximately 13-inch high-carbon steel blade. The blade retains visible forging marks and areas of forge scale, giving the steel a deliberately rustic, hand-forged appearance.

The polished animal-bone handle is decorated with etched representations of Hugin and Munin, the two ravens associated with Odin in Norse mythology. Norse rune details complement the raven artwork and give the handle its distinctive Scandinavian character.

A thick vegetable-tanned leather sheath completes the knife. Hand-tooled Norse knotwork, antiqued brass fittings, twin brass raven decorations, and two suspension rings give the sheath an appearance that complements the detailed handle.

The defining feature of the Twin Raven™ is its polished bone handle.

Both Hugin and Munin, the two ravens traditionally associated with Odin, are represented through etched artwork along with their names rendered in Norse-style runes.

This detailed decoration gives the knife a distinctive identity within a Viking or Norse collection.

Hand-Forged Carbon Steel Blade

The approximately 13-inch blade is hand-forged from high-carbon steel and features the angular spine associated with a broken-back Seax.

Rather than being polished completely smooth, the blade retains visible forging marks and areas of dark forge scale. These characteristics are intentional parts of its rustic historical-style finish.

The edge comes slightly sharpened.

Decorated Bone Grip

The handle is constructed from polished animal bone, providing a light natural surface for the dark raven and rune decoration.

Because genuine bone is a natural material, variations in coloration, grain, and surface appearance should be expected between individual knives. Hand-applied decorative details can also vary slightly.

Norse Raven Leather Sheath

The included sheath is made from thick vegetable-tanned leather and decorated with hand-tooled Norse-style knotwork.

Antiqued brass fittings complement the rustic blade, while two brass raven ornaments repeat the Hugin and Munin theme found on the handle.

Carbon Steel Care

High-carbon steel is not stainless and requires regular maintenance.

Keep the blade clean and completely dry after handling. Apply a light coating of suitable blade oil periodically to help protect the steel against moisture and surface corrosion.

The dark forge scale and visible forging marks are part of the blade's rustic finish and should not be confused with a polished stainless-steel surface.

Avoid storing the knife wet or damp inside its leather sheath.
