Ramcrest Forge™ Damascus Cleaver Knife
The Ramcrest Forge™ Cleaver Knife is a handmade Damascus cleaver combining a broad cutting blade with a natural Ram’s Horn handle for kitchen preparation, meat processing, outdoor cooking, and general food-prep tasks.
The 5.75-inch blade is forged from 240 layers of 5160 and 4340 carbon steel Damascus, producing the distinctive layered pattern associated with traditional Damascus steel.
At 3/16 inch thick, the blade has a substantial cleaver profile. A matching Damascus steel bolster creates an attractive transition between the patterned blade and natural horn handle.
The Ram’s Horn handle gives this cleaver a distinctive traditional appearance. Natural variations in horn color, texture, and pattern make individual handles visually unique.
Measuring 10.75 inches overall and weighing approximately 22 oz (623 g), the Ramcrest Forge™ has a substantial fixed-blade construction.
A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included to protect the cleaver during storage and transport.

Handmade Damascus Cleaver
The Ramcrest Forge™ combines a broad Damascus blade with the compact proportions of a traditional handmade cleaver knife.
Its 5.75-inch blade provides a generous cutting surface for kitchen preparation, meat processing, chopping, slicing, and outdoor cooking applications.
Natural Ram’s Horn Handle
The natural Ram’s Horn handle distinguishes this model from conventional wooden-handle cleavers.
Because genuine horn is a natural material, variations in coloration, grain, texture, and pattern should be expected and contribute to the individual character of each knife.
Damascus Steel Care
5160/4340 carbon steel Damascus requires proper care to help prevent corrosion.
Hand wash the cleaver after use and dry the blade completely. Periodically apply a thin coating of food-safe mineral oil or another appropriate blade-care product.
Do not put the knife in a dishwasher or leave it soaking in water.
Before storing the cleaver in its leather sheath, make sure both the blade and sheath are completely dry.
