Kalecrest Rancher™ Damascus Castration Knife
The Kalecrest Rancher™ Castration Knife is a compact handmade fixed-blade knife featuring patterned Damascus steel and a distinctive kale green burlap Micarta handle for ranch, livestock, veterinary, and farm utility.
The knife features a 3.25-inch blade with a 3-inch cutting edge, forged from 240 layers of 5160 and 4340 carbon steel Damascus. The layered construction creates the characteristic Damascus pattern while maintaining the compact profile traditionally associated with ranch utility knives.
The handle is crafted from kale green burlap Micarta with a Micarta fiber liner, giving this model a rugged textured appearance that clearly distinguishes it from the bone and rosewood versions.
At 6.25 inches overall and approximately 3.3 oz (93 g), the Kalecrest Rancher™ is compact and lightweight for controlled handling.
A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included for carrying and protecting the knife when not in use.

Damascus Steel Care
Carbon steel Damascus requires proper care to help prevent corrosion. Clean and completely dry the blade after use and periodically apply a thin coating of suitable blade oil.
Do not soak the knife in water or store the blade wet inside its leather sheath.
Keep the knife clean and dry during extended storage and inspect the carbon steel periodically for signs of moisture or oxidation.
