The Leif Erikson Handmade Viking Axe

This mighty axe head is hand-forged into the form of a huge double bit, with two intimating beards and a spiked eye. It's original forge patina finish and the part-polished edges give it a battle-worn appearance; this is one of the largest and meanest axes here at Raven Forge. 

1000 years past, the brave explorer Leif Erikson set out across the waves to found the settlement of Vinland on the continent we now call North America. It is in his honour and in the spirit of exploration and discovery that we created this axe. This mighty creation is part-burned, leather wrapped and burned with the Vegvisir, an Icelandic magical stave that offers protection from becoming lost on stormy seas.
