Birka Valknut™ Small Viking Knife
The Birka Valknut™ Small Viking Knife combines a compact historical-inspired profile with a carbon steel blade and an intricately detailed handle made from natural wood, animal bone, and brass.
Measuring approximately 7.1 inches overall, the knife features an approximately 3-inch carbon steel blade with a slightly sharpened edge. Its compact proportions make it noticeably smaller than the long Seax designs while retaining a distinctive Viking-inspired appearance.
The wooden grip is framed by animal-bone fittings engraved with detailed Valknut motifs. A brass collar provides contrast near the blade, while the brass butt cap includes a practical eyelet for attaching a lanyard.
The knife comes with a vegetable-tanned leather sheath decorated with brass fittings and equipped with a suspension ring for traditional-style belt carry.

Engraved Valknut Bone Handle
The defining feature of the Birka Valknut™ is its detailed wood-and-bone handle.
Natural wood forms the central grip, while animal-bone fittings at both ends are decorated with intricate Valknut motifs, creating a distinctive Norse-inspired appearance.
Brass fittings provide additional contrast between the natural handle materials.
Compact Carbon Steel Blade
The approximately 3-inch blade is made from carbon steel and supplied with a slightly sharpened edge.
At approximately 7.1 inches overall, the Birka Valknut™ offers a compact fixed-blade format that stands apart from larger Viking Seax knives.
Natural Wood, Bone & Brass
The handle combines three traditional-looking materials: natural wood, animal bone, and brass.
A brass collar sits toward the blade, while the matching butt cap includes an eyelet that can be used for attaching a lanyard.
Because genuine bone and wood are natural materials, differences in color, grain, and surface appearance should be expected between individual pieces.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather Sheath
A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included with the knife.
Decorative brass mounts complement the handle fittings, while the suspension ring provides an attachment point for traditional-style belt carry.
Carbon Steel Care
The carbon steel blade is not rust-proof and requires regular maintenance.
Keep the blade clean and completely dry after handling or use. Apply a thin coating of suitable blade oil periodically to help protect the steel from moisture, tarnishing, and surface corrosion.
Never store the knife wet or damp inside its leather sheath.
